Let's face it. Bedrooms are a big deal. Why? Because it's where we spend almost half of our day, everyday. And that's precisely why Lisa and I tie the bedroom with one paramount adjective: comfort . We believe the bedroom should be our sanctuary, the ultimate place of coziness, and it doesn't matter if we live alone, with a partner, or with a child. We've been meaning to dedicate a post to bedroom coziness for the longest time, and we're excited to have finally come around to it. We want you to dive deep with us into the things that inspire us to take our bedroom comfort to the next level. The sources are numerous and varied, and we tap both into the high end stuff as well as items one can find at a thrift store. We hope you enjoy the ride!

A couple of my favorite projects

Eurotech motors home page hero seciton

Euro-Tech Motors

This site was one of the first few of hundreds built for Shopgenie. I really enjoyed designing this one, just as much as I enjoyed developing it. The owner wanted a modern design that used the orange from their logo throughout. Despite this being one of the first few I was really happy with how it came out. I built a few automations for this one including a review count automation that utilized the Google Places API and a copyright date automation. Overall I'm just incredibly happy with how it turned out and the client was as well, which is why over 2 years later they haven't requested any major design changes. Not to mention just like all my sites it scores 90+ in every category for PageSpeed Insights and 92+ for site health on SEMrush.

Blog Post Automation

Building this automation was a fun and challenging experience. The goal was to take our refined prompt I created for generating blog posts and to automate the blog post creation process via the Duda API, the only issue is, they didn't have all the endpoints we needed. So I first iterated on the prompt until it was able to be used via the OpenAI API with an automation successfully and then linked a database of all our websites that were currently live. This got us to the point where we could automatically create all the posts for each site, but the next step was to build a UI automation with Playwright that allowed us to actually publish the posts after being created. I initially tried deploying it on Heroku, but since we were using a headless browser for the UI automation, I ended up having to deploy it on AWS instead. While it was a roller coaster of a project it was fun to discover solutions to such unique problems.
